A funnel catch type delivery and / or retrieval device is described for use with temporary inferior vena cava (IVC) filters or other medical implants or foreign bodies. Background technique [0002] Temporary IVC filters are placed much like permanent filters, but are designed so that they can be retrieved generally via the femoral or internal jugular vein route in a separate endovascular procedure.
