The cavitation prediction method includes the steps of receiving basic data necessary to prediction and real-time vibration data from a sensor; calculating a coefficient of relationship between cavitation damage degree and elastic modulus of material; establishing a predictive relationship between the real-time vibration data and the cavitation damage degree according to a physical relationship between the real-time vibration data and the elastic modulus; predicting time for the material to experience cavitation and damage degree of the material according to the predictive relationship. The cavitation prediction method and apparatus can predict cavitation occurring time and damage degree of material and provide relatively accurate prediction results. The cavitation prediction experimental device is capable of simulating the influence of a real environment upon product cavitation test, and is suitable for testing the pressure that a sample bears in real time.
