A power screwdriver comprising a housing (10), a motor, a drive spindle (22), a screw engaging bit (24), a suction nozzle (28) and a bit supporting sleeve (26), the housing (10 ) comprising a vacuum chamber (31) in communication with a source of negative air pressure, the screw engaging bit (24) connected to the drive spindle (22), the suction nozzle (28) surrounding and rigidly fixed to the bit (24) , the bit support sleeve (26) has a front end (26a) and a rear end (26b), wherein the rear end (26b) is connected to the drive spindle (22) and extends into the vacuum chamber (31). The front end portion (26a) of the bit support sleeve (26) is in contact with the suction nozzle (28), and at least one longitudinal internal channel (44a-d) extending through the bit support sleeve (26) is arranged to receive suction from the vacuum chamber. The negative air pressure of the chamber (31) is transferred to the suction nozzle (28).
