Abstract

According to an aspect, a network node serving a wireless device obtains quality requirements for wireless device measurements based on RSSI measurement samples and determines configuration parameters for the wireless device based on the quality requirements. The network node sends the determined configuration parameters to the wireless device. The wireless device obtains a set of configuration parameters for RSSI measurements. The configuration parameters specify the length of the RSSI measurement duration for which RSSI measurement samples are obtained and the RSSI measurement periodicity for the RSSI measurement duration. The wireless apparatus adapts operation of the UE with respect to the measurements based on RSSI measurement samples based on quality requirements for the measurements based on RSSI measurement samples.
