Embodiment Construction

[0026] The present invention will be described in detail below with reference to the accompanying drawings and examples.

[0027] The present invention provides a method for expressing image object boundaries based on side chain codes, the specific process is as follows figure 1 As shown, the method includes the following steps:

[0028] Step 1: Perform contour detection on the object to be encoded in the image, obtain the outer contour line of the object to be encoded, and obtain each boundary pixel on the outer contour line of the object to be encoded, select any boundary pixel as the starting pixel, and use the starting pixel as the current boundary pixel; and set the encoding direction.

[0029] Step 2: Take the number of sides of the current boundary pixel on the outer contour line of the target to be coded.

[0030] The number of possible sides of the boundary pixels of the target on the outer contour is 1 to 4, and the different numbers of sides reflect the relative p...

Abstract

The invention discloses an image target boundary expression method based on an edge chain code, which is a chain code method that takes into account both expression efficiency and chain code length. The method comprises the following steps: obtaining an outer contour line of an object to be encoded in an image, taking each boundary pixel on the outer contour line of the object to be encoded, taking any boundary pixel as a starting pixel, starting with the starting pixel, and taking the edge number of the current boundary pixel on the outer contour line of the object to be encoded. If the forward direction of the contour of the current boundary pixel is different from that of the previous boundary pixel, a discrimination code is added before the number of edges as the initial coding of thecurrent boundary pixel. Otherwise, the number of edges is directly used as the initial encoding of the current boundary pixel. Take the next boundary pixel according to the set coding direction and obtain its initial coding until all the boundary pixels obtain the initial coding. Initial coding of all boundary pixels on the outer contour line of the target to be encoded is combined into side chaincodes of the target to be encoded, and the side chain codes are stored as extracted image target boundaries.

Description

technical field [0001] The invention relates to the technical field of image analysis, in particular to an image object boundary expression method based on edge chain codes. Background technique [0002] Chain code is a coding representation method for the target discrete boundary, and the boundary expression is performed by recording the offset direction of each point after the starting point on the boundary. At present, chain code has been widely used in various fields such as computer vision, pattern recognition, digital image processing and geographic information system. [0003] Currently common chain code methods include Freeman chain code, vertex chain code (VCC, Vertex Chain Code), right-angle three-direction chain code (3OT, Orthogonal three-direction chain code) and unsigned Manhattan chain code (UMCC, Unsigned Manhattan Chain Code ). According to the different grid neighborhoods used to express the boundary, the Freeman chain code is divided into two types: 4-di...
