Problems solved by technology

In the 1960s and 1970s, during the introduction of olives in Nanping and Fuzhou, Fujian, there were problems such as root rot, severe insect damage, poor growth, fallen leaves in autumn and winter dry seasons, no flowering and fruit setting, etc., resulting in a decrease in survival rate, and finally had to give up the introduction

Embodiment 1

[0031] (1) Seed propagation

[0032] Harvest the green and ripe Chemlar olive fruit, put it into a sieve and rub it, then wash it with water to remove the pulp, dry it in the shade, and immediately sow it in the seedbed. After one month, it will germinate and unearth. After 1 year, when the main stem of seedlings reaches 1cm in thickness, it is selected as rootstock;

[0033] (2) Grafting

[0034] Select annual strong olive branches as scions for grafting, and the scion variety is pea fruit. After successful grafting, continue to cultivate in the nursery for 2 years, and then go out of the nursery for planting;

[0035] (3) Excavation of planting pits

[0036] Select a plot with a certain slope and the groundwater level is lower than 1.2m, and excavate a circular planting pit with a diameter of 1m and a depth of 1m;

[0038] Mix the soil dug out of the planting pit with an appropriate amount of organic fertilizer, lime and crushed stones to impr...

Embodiment 2

[0045] (1) Seed propagation

[0046] Harvest green and half-ripe Chemlar olive fruits, put them into a sieve and rub them, then wash with water to remove the pulp, dry them in the shade, and immediately plant them in the seedbed. After one month, they will germinate and unearth, and the seedlings will grow to 8 cm high and then transplanted into the nursery After 1 year of cultivation, when the main stem of the seedlings reaches 1cm in thickness, it is selected as a rootstock;

[0047] (2) Grafting

[0048] Select annual strong olive branches as scions for grafting, and the scion variety is Corati. After successful grafting, continue to cultivate in the nursery for 2 years, and then go out of the nursery for planting.

Abstract

The invention discloses a planting method for improving a survival rate of olives. The method comprises steps of seedling breeding, seedling grafting and cultivation, planting pit excavation, soil backfilling, transplanting and management. The method is advantaged in that 1), olive seedlings of the chemlal variety are selected as rootstocks, which can adapt well to the high temperature and humid climate and the acid sticky soil in the southeast coast of China; 2), the olive seedlings of more than 3 years old are selected for planting, the resistance is far higher than younger seedlings, and the vitality is stronger; 3), more than 50% of crushed stones are added to the backfilled soil, the soil permeability is improved, soil compaction is prevented, the sufficient oxygen can be provided forolive roots, and the necessary mineral elements can be further provided for growth of the growing olive trees; and 4), when the seedlings are planted, tree necks are more than 10 cm above the ground,and thereby the roots are prevented from rotting due to the accumulated surface water.

Description

technical field [0001] The invention relates to a method for planting olive trees, belonging to the field of planting. Background technique [0002] Olive ( Olea europaea L.) is a world-renowned high-quality woody oil, mainly produced in the Mediterranean region, with a cultivation history of more than 4,000 years. In addition to extracting the famous olive oil, the fresh fruits of olives can also be processed into delicious salted or candied fruits. Olive has been introduced to my country for more than 50 years. It was introduced on a large scale in my country in the 1970s. Except for Wudu, Gansu, most areas of olive showed weak tree vigor, serious leaf fall, and low survival rate. There are many reasons for this phenomenon, such as pests and diseases (especially diseases), climatic factors, soil conditions, and cultivation management. [0003] In terms of climate, the origin of olives is a Mediterranean climate, which is characterized by hot and dry summers and rainy a...
