The method comprises the following steps: collecting driver head information through a camera; whenthe vehicle speed is greater than a preset speed, a first camera positions a side face head contour of a driver in real time and tracks and positions upper and lower lip characteristic points of a mouth in real time and monitors the opening of the mouth; and when the opening of the mouth is greater than a preset threshold value and the duration is longer than a preset threshold value, judging that the driver yawns; when the yawning frequency is greater than a preset threshold value, judging that the driver is slightly fatigued, and alarming and prompting the driver; then the driver is judgedto be slightly fatigued, a second camera monitors upper and lower eyelid characteristic points of the front face of the driver in real time, monitors the openings of the eyes, and when the openings ofthe eyes are smaller than a preset threshold value and the duration is longer than a preset threshold value, judging that the eyes are fatigued; and when the eyes are judged to be fatigued and the number of times of eye fatigue is greater than a preset threshold value, judging that the driver is severely fatigued and alarming and prompting the driver.
