Abstract

The invention provides a maximum power point tracking method and device to improve the conversion efficiency of a control device in a photovoltaic power generation system and reduce the loss of powergeneration. The method includes a step of allowing the control device to adjust an input voltage of the control device, wherein the input voltage is generated by one or more of the photovoltaic components and transmitted to the control device, a step of determining whether a difference between a first input power and a second input power of the control device is smaller than or equal to a set value or not, wherein the first input power is an input power of the control device before the input voltage of the control device is adjusted, and the second input power is an input power of the controldevice after the input voltage of the control device is adjusted, and a step of increasing the input voltage of the control device if so and returning to judge whether a difference between the first input power and the second input power of the control device is smaller than or equal to the set value or not, otherwise, returning to perform the adjustment of the input voltage of the control device.
