Using this feature, large areas of background pixels can be excluded, thereby speeding up the detection process. It can be used in a 3×3 neighborhood around each pixel, such as figure 1 shown. It is judged whether the gray value of the center point pixel C is the maximum value of the gray value of all the pixels in the 8 neighborhoods. If it is a maximum value and its gray value is greater than a certain threshold, it is regarded as the center point of the candidate infrared target.
