Abstract

The method is applied to embedded Linux equipment of an ARM9 platform, and comprises the following steps: 1) initializing a USB driver; 2) enumerating a specific upgrade script file in the USB flash disk; 3) verifying whether the CRC of the specific upgrading script file is complete and correct, if so, executing the step 4), and if not, ending; and 4) automatically running each row of codes in the script to complete automatic upgrading of the kernel and the file system. According to themethod and the device provided by the invention, the function of automatically upgrading the kernel and the file system by using the USB flash disk in any embedded Linux equipment of the ARM9 platformcan be realized.
