Abstract

Embodiments provide systems, methods and apparatus for drug delivery devices. The device includes: a dose selector for selecting an amount of drug to be delivered; a first capacitive sensor adjacent to the dose selector and operable to detect linear displacement of the dose selector during delivery; a screw coupled to the dose selector; a second capacitive sensor adjacent to the screw and operable to detect linear displacement of the screw during delivery; and a processor coupled to the first capacitive sensor and the second capacitive sensor and operable to determine the amount of drug actually delivered by the drug delivery device quantity.
