Abstract

Methods are presented for providing access to locks in order to provide services. The method includes the steps of receiving a request for an access lock, the request including a first public key associated with the coordinator and a second public key associated with the service provider proxy based on a service consumer ordering a service requiring access to the physical space public key; presenting a first consumer challenge to the service consumer; receiving a first positive consumer response indicating that the service consumer allows the service provider proxy access to the physical space; and delegating access to the lock to the coordinator, including using the first public key The key encrypts at least a portion of the delegation, encrypts at least a portion of the delegation using the second public key, and electronically signs the delegation to enable further delegation to a service provider proxy.
