Abstract

The partition wall between the two spaces of the optical part of the optical sorter has a transparent plate that enables the optical detection unit to detect the sorted object. A wiper that contacts the transparent plate to clean the transparent plate is disposed in the drop space of the optical portion, and a reciprocating drive mechanism that slides the wiper along the transparent plate is disposed in the closed space. The wiper and the movable part of the reciprocating drive mechanism are integrally connected by magnetic force via a partition wall between the two spaces.
