Embodiment Construction

[0022] figure 1 Components of an embodiment of a vehicle 1 equipped according to the invention are shown. An ultrasonic transmitter 3 installed in the bumper 2 of the vehicle 1 transmits ultrasonic signals 5 in conjunction with a data output 4 . The ultrasound signal 5 is reflected by an environmental object 6 . Ultrasound signals (echoes 7 ) reflected by surrounding objects 6 are received by an ultrasound receiver 8 installed in the bumper 2 of the vehicle 1 and transmitted via a data input 9 to a processing unit 10 . The received echoes 7 are identified and evaluated in the processing unit 10 . The detection results can then be transmitted, for example, by the processing unit 10 to other systems of the vehicle 1 . The processing unit 10 can also calculate the distance to the environmental object 6 from the time period between the sending of the ultrasound signal 5 and the receiving of the echo 7 .

Abstract

The invention relates to a method and a device for detecting echoes (7) of an ultrasound signal (5). The method comprises the following steps of: a step of preparing a precursor; sending a first partsignal of the ultrasonic signal, wherein the first partial signal has a first static frequency and a first predefined duration, a second partial signal of the ultrasound signal is transmitted, the second partial signal having a second static frequency and a second predefined duration, the second static frequency being different from the first frequency, and the first frequency and the second frequency being used when identifying the ultrasound signal (7) reflected at the environmental object (6).

Description

technical field [0001] The invention relates to a method and a device for detecting echoes of ultrasound signals. In particular, partial signals with different frequencies are used here. [0002] The invention also relates to a vehicle with such a device. Background technique [0003] A measuring system based on ultrasonic signals is used to determine the distance to surrounding objects in front of the transmitter. Here, the transmitter transmits ultrasound signals. Reflections (echoes) of ultrasonic signals caused by environmental objects are received by the receiver. It is also possible to mount the receiver directly on the environmental object. In this case, what is received is not the echo, but the ultrasonic signal itself. The processing unit evaluates the signal and uses the signal propagation time and the sound velocity to determine the distance between the transmitter and the surrounding object or between the transmitter and the receiver. [0004] In order to i...
