The adapter comprises a hollow cylindrical adapter housing with two open ends, wherein a first fitting end and a second fitting end are formed on the adapter housing; the first fitting end is provided with a threaded connection portion; the second fitting end is provided with an engagement portion; and a signal transmission component disposed in the adapter housing. Since the threaded connection portion is disposed on the first fitting end of the adapter housing and the engagement portion is disposed on the second fitting end, the adapter housing can be in threaded connection with a threaded hole on one connector through the threaded connection portion so as to be quickly screwed. Then, the adapter housing is pushed soas to be inserted into an engagement hole in another connector so as to be quickly fixed and assembled. Further, the signal transmission component is pre-installed in the adapter housing, and can be fitted with the two connectors to achieve electrical conduction and ensure stable signal transmission.
