Abstract

In an illustrative embodiment, a method and system for identifying prospective new customers based on examining current customers includes accessing a user's business book of a trading platform to identify current customers, identifying key terms associated with each customer, automatically conducting an internet search , each search uses a different grouping of key terms, automatically obtains search result information about several expected objects from the website, and presents the expected object information to the user. Key terms can be identified by conducting a web search and web scraping of online information relevant to the current customer. Customers can be categorized based on organizational attributes prior to searching. One or more sets of initial key terms may be filtered by performing several data analyzes on the key terms.
