The invention discloses a method for generating a text map, which comprises the steps of obtaining at least one marked text contained in a to-be-processed text and marking information of the marked text, the marking information comprising a marking title and a marking level; determining a hierarchical structure of a marked text contained in the to-be-processed text according to the marking level and the text sequence of the to-be-processed text; and adding the marked text and the marked title thereof into corresponding nodes of the hierarchical structure to obtain a text map of the to-be-processed text. According to the method for generating the text map, hierarchical division is carried out when the text content of the article and the electronic book is marked, and the corresponding textmap is generated depending on the hierarchical structure determined by the hierarchical division, so that a user is helped to carry out structured carding on the article and the electronic book, and real absorption and mastering are realized.
