Embodiment Construction

[0051] The technical solutions provided by the present invention will be described in detail below in conjunction with specific examples. It should be understood that the following specific embodiments are only used to illustrate the present invention and are not intended to limit the scope of the present invention.

[0052] Consider a multi-user downlink. The base station adopts a uniform planar antenna array, including M rows of antenna arrays in the vertical direction, and N array elements in each row in the horizontal direction. The antenna elements in each row and column form a uniform linear antenna array. The spacing between adjacent antenna elements in the vertical direction is half of the carrier wavelength. The total number of users is U, each user is configured with a single receiving antenna, and the base station can serve up to K users. The base station knows the statistical channel information of U users, where k=1, 2,..., U, the statistical channel information i...

Abstract

The invention discloses an FD-MIMO downlink adaptive transmission method based on two-layer precoding. The FD-MIMO downlink adaptive transmission method comprises the following steps: firstly, performing user scheduling by utilizing statistical channel information of a user; for the dispatched users, performing user grouping by utilizing statistical channel information of the users; and performingtwo-layer precoding transmission on the grouped users, the outer-layer precoding array only depending on statistical channel information of the users, the users in the same group adopting the same outer-layer precoding array, and the inner-layer precoding array depending on equivalent channel information of the users in each group. Interference among users can be effectively reduced, high systemthroughput can be obtained with low calculation complexity and channel information feedback quantity, and the method is easy to implement. By setting the parameters of the user groups, the channel state information amount required by downlink transmission of the base station can be flexibly adjusted, and the compromise between the channel information collection overhead and the system performanceis realized.

Description

technical field [0001] The invention relates to an adaptive transmission technology based on a two-layer precoding downlink Full-Dimension Multiple-Input Multiple-Output (Full-Dimension Multiple-Input Multiple-Output, FD-MIMO) system, belonging to the technical field of wireless communication. Background technique [0002] With the demand for higher spectrum efficiency and energy efficiency of communication systems, the massive MIMO wireless transmission technology that deploys a large number of antennas at the base station has been extensively studied. However, in practical applications, it is difficult to deploy large-scale antennas in conventional uniform linear arrays due to the limitation of the physical space of the base station. In order to solve this problem, in recent years, it has been proposed to configure a two-dimensional grid-arranged antenna array at the base station, called FD-MIMO technology, which can overcome the limitation of limited space on massive MIMO...
