Abstract

The invention relates to a motor vehicle door lock which is equipped with a locking mechanism (1, 2) that consists essentially of a rotary latch (1) and a pawl (2). The lock also comprises a pawl spring (13) for action on the pawl (2) in the closing direction. The motor vehicle door lock further comprises an actuating lever (8) for opening the locking mechanism (1, 2).
