Abstract
Systems and methods are described herein that allow the information carrying bits of a transmission block to be placed at higher-reliability positions prior to transmission. An exemplary method includes generating a set of payload bits to be encoded for transmission, wherein the set of payload bits includes at least one known bit; interleaving the set of payload bits to generate an interleaved setof payload bits, wherein the interleaved set includes the at least one known bit in a predetermined position in the interleaved set; providing the interleaved set to a cyclic redundancy check (CRC) encoder to generate CRC-interleaved set of payload bits, wherein the CRC-interleaved set includes the at least one known bit in a predetermined position within the CRC-interleaved set, and encoding theCRC-interleaved set for transmission to a wireless device. The associated network nodes and wireless devices are included.
Description
[0001] priority information [0002] This application claims priority and benefit to U.S. Provisional Patent Application No. 62 / 567738, filed October 3, 2017, entitled "Bit Order of NR PBCH Payload to Enhance Polar Code Performance," the disclosure of which is hereby incorporated by reference in its entirety are incorporated in this article. technical field [0003] Certain embodiments of the present disclosure relate generally to polar code performance, and more particularly to bit ordering of New Radio Physical Broadcast Channel (NR PBCH) payloads for enhanced polar code performance. Background technique [0004] Polar coding [0005] By Arikan (in E. Arikan, "Channel Polarization: A Method for ConstructingCapacity-Achieving Codes for Symmetric Binary-Input Memoryless Channels" (July 2009, IEEE Transactions on Information Theory, Vol. 55, pp. 3051-3073) ) proposed polar codes are first-class constructive coding schemes that can be proven to achieve symmetric capacity for...
