A domestic vacuum cleaner comprises a body comprising a suction motor configured to generate an air flow, the body having an air outlet opening through which the air flow is exhausted towards the outside of the body; a filtration device configured to retain dust particles transported by the air flow; an acoustic absorption element comprising an external surface abutted against the air outlet opening and an internal surface oriented towards the interior of the body; and an air conduit extending substantially in parallel to the internal surface of the acoustic absorption element so that a majorpart of the air flow circulates along the internal surface before escape through the acoustic absorption element towards the air outlet opening.
