Abstract

The disclosure relates to a method and controller for the situational transmission of surroundings data of a vehicle. The invention relates to improved transmission of environmental information of a vehicle. The method for the situational transmission of environmental data of a vehicle (10) comprises the steps of: determining a driving situation (F) of the vehicle (10); determining relevant environmental data (UR) from the detected environmental data (UE) on the basis of the driving situation (F), wherein the related environmental data (UR) is a subset of the detected environmental data (UE),the subset of the detected environmental data (UE) relating to the driving condition (F); and providing the external data processing device (60) with relevant environmental data (UR).
