A freshness preserving area, a temperature sensor, a refrigerating unit and a control unit electrically connected with the temperature sensor and the refrigerating unit are included; a heat conducting plate arranged in the freshness preserving area and used for transmitting the heat of stored articles is further included; and a probe ofthe temperature sensor is arranged on the heat conducting plate. The control unit is used for controlling the refrigerating unit to adjust the temperature of the freshness preserving area according toa signal transmitted by the temperature sensor. The freshness preserving refrigerator can detect the temperature of the stored articles in the freshness preserving area through the temperature sensorand detect that the stored articles are placed in, and therefore a freshness preserving program is started to adjust the temperature of the freshness preserving area to that of a preset temperature area, and the trouble that after fresh stored articles are placed into the freshness preserving area, it is needed to manually adjust the temperature of the freshness preserving area is saved.
