Abstract

The invention provides a multimode three-dimensional display device. The multimode three-dimensional display device is composed of a 2D display panel, a lens array and a transparent liquid crystal display panel. The 2D display panel is used for providing a mode image, the mode image is composed of a bright spot array, and the pitch and the position of the bright spot array are adjustable. The transparent liquid crystal display panel is used for providing a parallax image without changing the light propagation direction. The lens array is located in the middle and used for projecting images. Aplurality of visual areas are preset in a space, and the visual areas are arranged in the space to form a visual area array. Each visual area corresponds to one mode of the multimode three-dimensionaldisplay device. In each mode, the 2D display panel is provided with a mode image corresponding to the 2D display panel. For time division multiplexing, the 2D display panel provides mode images of all the visual areas in sequence, and the transparent liquid crystal display panel provides parallax images corresponding to all the visual areas in sequence. When two eyes of a viewer are located in different visual areas respectively, the corresponding parallax images can be seen respectively, and therefore three-dimensional vision is generated.
