[0038] Examples described herein provide methods and systems for interference management in full duplex (FD) communications. An access point (access point, AP) may send a trigger frame such as an FD interference measurement trigger frame. The trigger frame enables some or all associated stations (stations, STAs) to perform operations to measure potential interference. For example, a STA may send a reference frame such as a response frame or an FD interference reference frame, and other STAs may use the response frame or the reference frame to measure potential interference from the sending STA. After measuring the potential interference, each STA may report the measured potential interference to the AP in a report frame such as an FD interference measurement report frame. The AP can use the potential interference information obtained from the STAs to select one or more suitable STAs for asymmetric FD communication.
