Embodiment Construction

[0038] Examples described herein provide methods and systems for interference management in full duplex (FD) communications. An access point (access point, AP) may send a trigger frame such as an FD interference measurement trigger frame. The trigger frame enables some or all associated stations (stations, STAs) to perform operations to measure potential interference. For example, a STA may send a reference frame such as a response frame or an FD interference reference frame, and other STAs may use the response frame or the reference frame to measure potential interference from the sending STA. After measuring the potential interference, each STA may report the measured potential interference to the AP in a report frame such as an FD interference measurement report frame. The AP can use the potential interference information obtained from the STAs to select one or more suitable STAs for asymmetric FD communication.

Abstract

An access point (AP) having full duplex (FD) capabilities transmits a trigger frame to cause at least a first station (STA) to initiate an uplink (UL) reference frame to the AP, the trigger frame further causing at least one second STA to obtain a signal strength measurement during transmission of the UL reference frame, and the AP receives from the at least one second STA, a reporting frame containing information about the signal strength measurement.

Description

[0001] cross reference [0002] This application claims priority to U.S. Patent Application Serial No. 15 / 916,989, filed March 9, 2018, entitled "Methods and Systems for Full Duplex Communications" , the entire contents of which are incorporated in this application by reference. technical field [0003] The present invention relates to methods and systems for full duplex communication. In particular, the present invention relates to interference management methods and systems for use in full-duplex communications. Background technique [0004] In full duplex (full duplex, FD) communication, downlink (DL) transmission (for example, from access point (AP) to station (station, STA)) and uplink (uplink, UL) transmission ( For example, from STA to AP) can be performed simultaneously. In asymmetric FD communication, DL transmissions occur between a pair of nodes (eg, an AP and a first STA), but UL transmissions involve at least one different third node (eg, an AP and a second S...
