Abstract

The purpose of the present invention is to suppress intrusion of water into a one-way clutch in a fishing reel provided with the one-way clutch that transmits only rotation of a handle in the wire winding direction to a drive shaft. A fishing reel includes a reel body, a drive shaft, a handle, a one-way clutch, and a seal mechanism. The drive shaft is rotatably supported by the reel body. The handle includes a handle arm extending in a direction intersecting the drive shaft, and a handle-side accommodating part in which the drive shaft is partially accommodated. The one-way clutch is disposedin the handle-side accommodating part and transmits only rotation of the handle in the fishing line winding direction to the drive shaft. The seal mechanism prevents water from entering the handle-side accommodating part from the outside.
