Abstract

The invention provides a method for performing ECU calibration for generation of soot. The method comprises the following steps of (1) measuring a universal characteristic curve of an engine; (2) measuring a smoke value of original exhaust of the engine, and selecting the maximum smoke value; (3) determining the operating rotating speed and the torque of the engine at the maximum smoke value; (4)in a working condition of the step (3), generating the soot in an accelerated manner by changing a fuel injection advance angle, and measuring a smoke numerical value and an exhaust temperature at different fuel injection advance angles; (5) in a permitted range of the exhaust temperature, determining a working condition where the smoke numerical value is the maximum; (6) operating the engine in the working condition in the step (5) and sampling engine oil samples at certain time intervals; and (7) detecting the soot numerical values in the engine oil samples to determine the generation rate of the soot so as to calibrate high soot.
