Abstract

The embodiment of the invention provides a file association locking method and device, and the method comprises the steps: receiving a modification request for a first sub-key under a registry root key, and enabling the first sub-key to comprise an access control item ACE for indicating to refuse writing and deleting; according to the ACE, refusing to modify file opening mode information in the first sub-key according to the modification request; after it is determined that modification of the file opening mode information fails, detecting whether a locked list comprises a path from the registry root key to the first sub-key or not, wherein the locked list is used for storing the path of the sub-key corresponding to the file extension name forbidden to be modified; if yes, returning a modification response indicating successful modification. By applying the technical scheme provided by the embodiment of the invention, the file opening mode information associated with the file extensionname can be locked through the ACE and the locked list, so that file association locking in an application layer is realized.
