The air energy water heater comprises a compressor, a four-way valve, an outdoor heat exchanger, a water tank, a first heat exchanger and a second heat exchanger, wherein the water tank comprises a first tank body and a second tank body; the first heat exchanger is used for exchanging heat with water in the first tank body, a hot water outlet is arranged in the first tank body, the first end of the first heat exchanger is connected to the four-way valve, and the second end of the first heat exchanger is connected to the outdoor heat exchanger through a first throttling device; and the second heat exchanger is used for exchanging heat with water in the second tank body, the first end of the second heat exchanger is connected to the second end of the first heat exchanger through a first valve, and the second end of the second heat exchanger is connected to the outdoor heat exchanger through a second throttling device.
