The embodiment of the invention provides a table recognition method and device, a terminal and a storage medium. The method comprises the steps: acquiring a to-be-recognized file which comprises at least one table; utilizing a table position detection model to detect position information of at least one table in the file, the table position detection model being a deep learning model; processing the file according to the position information to obtain a table picture which corresponds to each table and only contains the table; carrying out the following processing on each table picture: performing pre-processing operation, processing the processed table picture according to a table row division model and a table column division model, and acquiring row position information and column position information of the table, wherein the table row division model and the table column division model are both deep learning models, so that the structure information of the table is restored; and outputting structured table data in combination with the recognized text information of the table. In the way, the table recognition efficiency and flexibility can be improved.
