Embodiment Construction

[0059] A special case of optimization methods is linear optimization. The linear optimization involves optimizing a linear objective function over a set bounded by linear equations and inequalities. It forms the basis of a solution method for (mixed) integer linear optimization. The so-called solver (Solver) is a general term for special mathematical computer programs that can numerically solve mathematical problems. In conjunction with MILP (mixed integer linear programming), standard solvers such as CPLEX, Scip, Gurobi and XPress can be used for IP programs (integer optimization models).

[0060] An example is described below in which, by means of a MILP (Mixed Integer Linear Programming) model, a computer-aided optimization of the magazine space occupation of a tool in at least one tool magazine for a machine tool is carried out. This process can be performed independently of the heuristics and reclassification methods described above.

Abstract

The invention relates to a method for optimizing the occupancy of magazine spaces (P) by tools within at least one tool magazine (R) for a machine tool in a computer-supported manner, having the following steps: a) detecting a quantity of magazine spaces (P) in at least one tool magazine (R), b) detecting a first quantity of tools which occupy at least one magazine space and the magazine spaces occupied by said tools, c) detecting a second quantity of tools which are to be additionally received in the at least one tool magazine, d) detecting the required space and optionally at least one other property for each tool, e) detecting a quantity of allowed magazines spaces for each tool, an allowed magazine space depending on the required space, at least one other property of the tool, and / or a property of the magazine space, f) detecting a quantity of allowed magazine space pairs, wherein a first tool can be placed on a first magazine space of the magazine space pair, said first magazine space being allowed for the first tool, and a second tool can be placed on the second magazine space of the magazine space pair, said second magazine space being allowed for the second tool, in a collision-free manner with respect to the respective required space for each tool, and detecting the size of the free intermediate space between the placed first tool and the placed second tool, and g) optimizing the occupancy of the magazine spaces by tools of the first quantity and at least one tool to be received of the second quantity such that the number of relocations, which are required for receiving the aforementioned tool, of the tools of the first quantity is minimized, and the required relocations and (initial) placements of the tools of the second quantity are carried out in such a compact manner that the sum of the sizes of the free intermediate spaces of two adjacently placed tools is minimized, and the magazine space pair for said adjacently placed tools is a magazine space pair of the quantity of the magazine space pairs allowed for said tool pair.

Description

technical field [0001] The invention relates to a method and a device for computer-aided optimization of the occupation of magazine space by tools in at least one tool magazine for a machine tool. Background technique [0002] A machine tool is an automated manufacturing system with which a predetermined shape is produced on a workpiece by means of one or more tools. Multiple tools can be assigned to one tool type, for example milling. Another tool type could be eg a drill. A machine tool has a tool spindle in which a machining tool (also called a spindle tool) is located during machining. [0003] The tools that can be used by the machine tool to machine the workpiece are stored in the tool magazine. There are various types of tool libraries. A very common form is the chain library, which is used eg in the automotive industry. [0004] Another type of library is the rack library R shown for example in FIG. 1 , in which a very large number of different tools (up to 500 ...
