Abstract

A hand-held working machine, such as a lawnmower (100), is disclosed that includes a drive motor (102), a wheel (110), and a clutch assembly (104) disposed between the drive motor and the wheel, the clutch assembly being movable between a connected configuration in which the clutch assembly is connected with an output of the drive motor, and a disengaged configuration in which the clutch assembly is disengaged from the output of the drive motor. There is included a clutch assembly for transferring power from the drive motor to the wheels, a disengaged configuration in which the clutch assembly is disengaged from an output of the drive motor, and a control assembly operable to simultaneously activate the drive motor and move the clutch assembly from the disengaged configuration to the connected configuration.
