Abstract

Provided is an airbag device capable of reliably constraining an occupant seated on a seat regardless of the posture of the occupant. The present invention is an airbag device to be mounted on a vehicle seat, the airbag device comprising: a seat cushion forming a seat surface; a seat back forming a seat back; the headrest is arranged at the upper part of the seat back and is provided with an inflator for generating inflation gas; and an airbag housed at least in the seat back and deployed by the inflation gas discharged from the inflator. The airbag includes: a pair of left and right side chambers that deploy forward from a side portion of the seat back; and an upper chamber provided in connection with the side chamber and deployed above the head of the occupant. In addition, the airbag is rolled up in a direction intersecting the longitudinal direction or folded into a long rod shape from a state in which the airbag is unfolded in a planar shape before being stored, and is compressed.
