However, since the serving HS-SCCH group is information corresponding to each UE, and is also information shared by the Node B and the UE, the efficiency of sending and receiving the serving HS-SCCH group through an upper layer such as SRNC is very low

[0123] First, the structure of the serving HS-SCCH is described. It is assumed that the serving HS-SCCH set is generated by matching the OVSF code with the associated logical identifier. For example, if OVSF codes C(128, 124), C(128, 125), C(128, 126) and C(128, 127) are assigned to the serving HS-SCCH group of a certain UE, then the OVSF can are pre-matched to logical channels in a one-to-one manner, ie C(128,124)=0, C(128,125)=1, C(128,126)=2 and C(128,127)=3. Generally, in an HSDPA communication system, a maximum of 4 HS-SCCHs are established for one Node B, and the UE continuously monitors the 4 HS-SCCHs established for the Node B. Therefore, if combined with image 3 As described, 4 OVSF codes corresponding to 4 HS-SCCHs and 4 logical identifiers for identifying the 4 HS-SCCHs are assigned to the serving HS-SCCH group. as combined Figure 11As described, this logical relationship between the 4 HS-SCCHs, logical identifiers and OVSF codes is determined by the Node B fo...

Abstract

A communication system includes a shared channel occupied by a plurality of user equipments (UEs) and spread with a plurality of channelization codes to transmit user data, and a plurality of control channels for transmitting control information related to the shared channel in order to enable the UEs to receive the shared channel signal. The system generates a plurality of control channel sets by classifying the control channels into a predetermined number of control channels, and assigns the control channel sets so that each of the UEs monitors a particular control channel set among the control channel sets. Upon detecting necessity to modify a control channel set to be assigned to a particular UE among the UEs, a Node B determines to modify a control channel set assigned into the UE to a new control channel set at a predetermined point of time to come. After determining to modify the control channel set, the Node B transmits an indicator indicating expected modification of the control channel set and information on the control channel set to be modified to the UE over a downlink.

Description

[0001] priority [0002] Pursuant to 35 U.S.C. §119, this application claims the right to the application filed with the Korean Industrial Property Office on February 7, 2002, entitled "Apparatus and Method for Transmitting / Receiving Serving HS-SCCH Group Information in an HSDPA Communication System", No. Priority of application entitled "2002-7194," the contents of which are incorporated herein by reference. field of invention [0003] The present invention generally relates to a mobile communication system, and in particular to a method for sending and receiving a service HS-SCCH (High Speed-Shared Control CHannel, equipment and method for high-speed shared control channel) group information. Background technique [0004] figure 1 is a schematic diagram of the structure of the universal mobile communication system. figure 1 Described in is UMTS (Universal Mobile Terrestrial System, Universal Mobile Terrestrial System) mobile communication system, this system includes a ...
