Abstract

The MPEG2-PS format digital stream is composed of VOBU, and the content key Kc is used to encrypt each VOBU except the top RDI packet. The content key Kc is an encryption key obtained by adding the title key Kt to the CCI, and then converting the time variation coefficient using the added sum. Therefore, the obtained content key Kc is different for each VOBU. Since each content key Kc is different for this VOBU small unit, the copyright of the digital stream is effectively protected.
