Abstract
Liquid dentifrice compositions are provided which give improved cleaning performance and flavour display when used in the small amounts that can be dispensed onto a typical electric toothbrush head. The liquid dentifrice has a viscosity of less than about 500 Pa.s at 0.1 s<-1> at 25 DEG C. Representative compositions include greater than about 2 % by weight of a surfactant; greater than about 1. 2 % flavour and greater than 50 % liquid carrier materials, including controlled amounts of water and humectants, or alternatively polyoxyethylene thickeners.
Description
Invention field [0001] The present invention relates to a liquid dentifrice composition with improved fragrance and foaming properties, which is suitable for use in a toothbrush with a small amount of power. Background of the invention [0002] There is still the fact that most common oral treatments are provided by applying a single dentifrice product to a toothbrush that manually rubs the teeth. In the past two years, the share of electric toothbrushes on the market has increased significantly. The electric toothbrushes that were quite expensive in the past have become more affordable and therefore more common. However, the basic method of squeezing toothpaste onto the toothbrush head is still the same. [0003] Although electric toothbrushes can improve the scrubbing performance, and many efforts have been made to design them, little attention has been paid to the optimization of dentifrice products to power the use of electric toothbrushes. With the use of common dentifrice p...
