[0056] The first embodiment of the present invention will explain a case where the present invention is applied to a cellular phone, a mobile communication terminal used in a PHS (Personal Handy System). It is assumed that the mobile communication terminal 10 according to the present embodiment has a television receiving function of receiving a television broadcast and outputting the broadcast in addition to a voice call function (telephone function) as a basic function. In addition, it is assumed that a predetermined charging base (cradle, cradle) is used when charging a battery as an operating power source of the mobile communication terminal 10, or is used when driving the mobile communication terminal 10 with a commercial power source. In this embodiment, the mobile communication terminal 10 is placed on figure 1 cradle 11 shown to perform charging.

[0057] In addition, the mobile communication terminal 10 according to this embodiment is configured to be foldable using t...

[0134] A second embodiment in which the present invention is applied to a mobile communication terminal having a housing that can take various styles will be explained below using an example. A mobile communication terminal 20 according to the second embodiment will be explained with reference to FIG. 11 . FIG. 11 is a view showing the external configuration of the mobile communication terminal 20. As shown in FIG.

[0135] As shown in the figure, the mobile communication terminal 20 according to the present embodiment is configured to be foldable with two movable housing parts (housings 20A and 20B) connected by double hinges DH. FIG. 11 shows a state where the mobile communication terminal 20 is developed, and also shows a pattern (form) for making a voice call function of the mobile communication terminal 20 . More specifically, as shown in FIG. 11A, this is a mode in which the mobile communication terminal 20 is unfolded in such a way that the speaker 242 for the receiver...

Abstract

Upon detection to connection to a cradle (11), a control section (110) of a mobile communication terminal (10) accesses a storage section (180) to determine whether setting information indicating operation settings of various functions is stored therein. When setting information is stored therein, the control section (110) turns on power of the mobile communication terminal (10) and controls the respective sections to execute an operation according to the setting information. While, no setting information is stored therein, the control section (110) performs a charging operation without turning on power of the mobile communication terminal (10). Then, upon detection of release of connection to the cradle (11), the executed operation is finished based on the setting information.

Description

field of invention [0001] The present invention relates to a mobile communication terminal and a program, and more particularly to a mobile communication terminal suitable for performing various functions. Background technique [0002] In mobile communications such as cellular phones, there is a growing trend for multifunction devices. For example, a cellular telephone can function as both a television receiver and an audio playback device. [0003] With the progress in multifunctionality and high performance of equipment, many methods and means have been adopted to fully utilize the performance of each function. For example, the casing of the mobile communication terminal is changed in various styles, so that a style matching a function to be used can be realized. [0004] This makes it possible to use one display screen in both portrait and landscape orientations, and realize a large-sized screen display suitable for displaying television broadcasts in the landscape orie...
