Using image picking up device with functions of omnidirectional rotation and Pan-Tilt-Zoom (PTZ) tracks mobile object. After comparing current image picked up by the PTZ image picking up device with a previous image, processor defines mobile object in frame, based on the position of the mobile object, the method rotates the image picking up device to track the mobile object. When the mobile object enters into zooming range of the image picking up device, if the mobile object possesses too small or too large proportion in the frame, then the processor can adjust focus of the image picking up device to make the mobile object possess proper proportion in the frame in order to provide clear image with high resolution.
