Benefits of technology

The present invention is a collapsible hammock support that can quickly and easily assemble and disassemble. Additionally, it can also securely hold an umbrella. The hammock frame has a horizontal support, angled supports, and feet to support a hammock bed. The frame also has hinges and a cross-brace that allow it to fold and collapse for easy storage. The angled supports have an umbrella support ring to hold the umbrella, and the user can easily attach the umbrella to the hammock frame. The technical effects of this invention include a more convenient and compact hammock support that reduces storage space and can be easily assembled and disassembled.

Problems solved by technology

If the trees are too dose, or too far apart, or if trees are not available at all, using a hammock may not be possible.
Additionally, a hammock that is improperly secured may fail or be swept away by strong winds.
However, the devices in the known art have several drawbacks.
Some people use free-standing support structures, but these structures cannot be disassembled and are heavy.
Transporting such structures is not practical and thus these structures do not lend themselves to travel.
Some hammock support structures collapse on themselves, but are not easily separable, and may require significant effort to enable the structure to collapse.
Some hammock support structures are separable, but are flimsy, do not provide a solid structure, and lack the ability to secure an umbrella thereto which can provide much desired shade to the user.
