An access point includes a first interface that wirelessly communicates using a first band; a second interface that wirelessly communicates using a second band; and a controller that selects one type of request to send (RTS) / clear to send (CTS) control from among three mutually different types using at least one of the first interface and the second interface, and carries out the selected one type of RTS / CTS control with a terminal.

Techniques for increasing the reliability in IEEE 802.11

Methods and apparatuses are described herein for increasing reliability in IEEE 802.11 networks. A first station (STA) may generate a set of configurations that meets reliability requirements of a traffic flow associated with a frame. Each of the set of configurations may comprise a number of replications of the frame, a channel bandwidth, and a modulation and coding scheme (MCS). The first STA may transmit, to a second STA, a plurality of request to send (RTS) frames over a plurality of channels. The first STA may receive, from the second STA, a plurality of clear to send (CTS) frames indicating whether the plurality of channels are available. The first STA may then select, based on the number of available channels, a first configuration from the set of configurations. The first STA may transmit, based on the first configuration, a plurality of copies of the frame simultaneously over the available channels.

Frame format of response signal to trigger frame

PCT designated stageWO2026117126A1Error preventionConnection managementClear to sendStation
The present disclosure relates to a method and apparatus for supporting enhanced long range (ELR) transmission in a wireless LAN system. A station (STA) according to the present disclosure may: receive a multi-user request to send (MU-RTS) trigger frame; and on the basis of an information field included in the frame, transmit a clear to send (CTS) frame in an ELR PPDU format. The MU-RTS trigger frame may comprise PPDU format information of the CTS frame and modulation and coding scheme (MCS) information corresponding to an ELR PPDU. This enables the STA to mitigate CTS reception instability due to a difference in transmit power between downlink (DL) and uplink (UL). In addition, a plurality of STAs may reduce the possibility of collisions in a multi-user environment and reduce transmission delay by simultaneously transmitting ELR PPDU-based CTS frames. Therefore, the present technology improves the reliability and protection efficiency of RTS / CTS procedures and provides stable communication quality even in a high-density network environment.

Examples described herein relate to a switch circuitry that includes circuitry to determine if a received packet comprises a control packet; circuitry to determine congestion metrics based on receipt of at least one control packet, wherein the at least one control packet comprises a Request To Send (RTS) or Clear To Send (CTS); and circuitry to transmit at least one of the congestion metrics in at least one packet to a sender and / or receiver network interface device.

Method and apparatus for low latency enhancements for wireless networks

Methods and apparatuses for low latency enhancements for wireless networks are disclosed that can be used to establish restricted target wake time (TWT) sessions over a wireless medium. In some implementations, an access point (AP) establishes a restricted TWT session for one or more wireless stations (STAs) associated with latency sensitive traffic, the restricted TWT session including a restricted TWT service period (SP) during which the AP reserves access to the wireless medium for only the one or more STAs associated with the latency sensitive traffic. The AP transmits a clear to send (CTS) frame at the start of each restricted TWT SP, the CTS frame indicating to other STAs that the wireless medium is unavailable for the duration of the corresponding restricted TWT SP. The AP transmits latency sensitive data to or receives latency sensitive data from the one or more STAs during at least one restricted TWT SP.
