A tamper-resistant coaxial terminator includes an inner body rotatably captivated within an outer shield. A deformable portion of the inner body extends within an annular recess formed in the outer shield. An optional RF port, containing a resistor, is press-fit within the inner body. The RF port, or alternatively, the inner body, is internally-threaded for engaging the outer conductor of an equipment port. A seal ring extends over the outer conductor of the equipment port and is urged by the outer shield to directly engage the internally-threaded portion of the terminator. A seal is also optionally disposed between the outer shield and the inner body to minimize moisture induced corrosion. A shipping cap, usable at either end of the terminator, helps protect the terminator during shipment and prevents entry of debris.

An coaxial cable connector is configured to engage with an outer thread of a threaded connector. The coaxial cable connector comprises an inner sleeve, an outer sleeve arranged around the inner sleeve and a nut arranged around the inner sleeve. The nut comprises a metal sheet integral with an inner flange of the nut, wherein the metal sheet is between the inner flange and a cylindrical surface of the inner sleeve. An assembly for connecting a coaxial cable end to a threaded port and having a fitting to which an end of a coaxial cable can be connected. A nut, joined to the fitting, has a first set of threads and is turnable in a tightening direction around a central axis of the connecting assembly to progressively engage the first set of threads with a second set of threads on a port. The nut has an outer surface at which a first edge, facing circumferentially in a first direction, is defined. A sleeve surrounds the nut and has a body with a first reconfigurable finger extending in a circumferential direction and upon which a second edge, facing circumferentially oppositely to the first direction, is defined. The second edge is brought into bearing engagement with the first edge as the sleeve is turned in the tightening direction around the central axis so that the nut follows movement of the sleeve. The sleeve is movable continuously relative to the nut around the central axis in a loosening direction.

The invention relates to surge suppressors. One embodiment provides a surge suppressing device including: a power circuit having an MOV and a thermal fuse in proximity to the MOV; an isolation structure containing the MOV and the thermal fuse; and a plurality of utility outlets in electrical communication with the power circuit. The isolation structure isolates the MOV and thermal fuse from at least a portion of the surge-suppressing device and encapsulates emissions from the MOV during an overvoltage event. Another embodiment provides a surge suppressing device including: a power section having a power circuit; an intermediate section adjacent to the power section; and an outlet section adjacent to the intermediate section such that the intermediate section separates the power section and the outlet section. The outlet section includes a plurality of utility outlets in electrical communication with the power circuit. Further embodiments are described.

F-type right angle jack of tap assembly manufactured in a few steps lowering signal loss ratio comprises a bayonet mount, a male connector axially disposed inside the bayonet mount, a right angle connector is in-line coupled to the male connector, a cubic coupling box, corner legs of a metallic frame inserted onto printed circuit board (PCB). The coupling box is directly formed between the bayonet mount and the male connector by injection molding. The coupling box wraps around a tapered tube of the bayonet mount filled with insulation material. A joint of the right angle connector and the male connector is wrapped around by the coupling box, but a proximal end of the right angle connector is exposed outside the coupling box. And a metallic frame squarish in shape formed by stamping and bending is wrapped around the coupling box to facilitate coaxial cable carries signals without loss.

An insulated cable attachment device, made of an electrically insulating material, is connectable to a termination connector which is in turn connectable to a tap port for a cable television system. When an installer disconnects service to a subscriber's house, the signal is shut down to the tap port to which the subscriber drop cable is connected. The drop cable is disconnected from the tap port and a terminator connector is connected in its place on the tap port. The installer then installs the insulated cable attachment device onto the terminator connector before connecting the drop cable to the insulated cable attachment device, thereby preventing any difference in ground potentials between the terminal connector and the drop cable from being transmitted to the end of the drop cable near the house.

A video connection line to integrate digital and analog signals includes a first video connection port (may be one conforming to DVI-I specification) to transmit digital and analog signals that is divided to be coupled with a second video connection port (may be one conforming to DVI-D specification) to transmit digital video signals and a third video connection port (may be one conforming to VGA. A circuit board is located within the body. A collet assembly is located within the connector to receive electrical signals and conduct them to the circuit board. The collet assembly includes an insulator, a conductor, and an elastomeric sealing member. The insulator is located within the connector. The insulator contains a generally cylindrical opening through its length. The conductor extends through the opening of the insulator. The conductor has an input end adjacent the input end of the housing and an output end adjacent the circuit board. The conductor has a hollow interior at its input end. The sealing member surrounds the insulator in compressed engagement with the insulator and the surrounding connector.

An interface panel structure used in an electric machine; comprises a fixed seat with a fixed seat with a holding element and sliding rails and a movable sliding seat installed therein. The present invention provides a compound electrical connector comprising a plug connector, an audio jack, a power jack and a radio frequency jack, together with a printed circuit board assembled in an insulation cover. The insulation cover has three cavities formed on one side thereof for receiving the three jacks respectively. Each of the audio jack, the power jack and the radio frequency jack has a contacting portion received respectively in one of the corresponding cavities of the insulation cover for contacting with complementary connectors and a soldering portion being soldered to a printed circuit board. The plug connector comprises a contacting portion protruded out from another side of the insulation cover for contacting with a complementary socket connector, and a soldering portion being soldered to the printed circuit board. Therefore, the compound electrical connector facilitates installing the jacks with different functions connector to an electronic device and saves space in the electronic device.

In addition to the single molded part incorporating features of the conventional nut, sealing member and body, the connector includes a post and a hollow compression sealing ring. The post includes an integrally formed stem and flange portions, with the compression ring axially movable upon the body and including a tapered surface which applies a radially inward force to the body, compressing the cable and providing tight frictional engagement of the connector and cable. When in its fully installed position, the axial length of the ring is sufficient to entirely enclose the unitary body and nut, preferably having an interference fit with the outer surface of the nut portion, thus locking and sealing the connector threads to the equipment port. An embodiment of the invention discloses a digital card fixing apparatus. An electrical filter disconnects a connecting pin when uninstalled. A first filter section includes a first set of electrical filter components, while a second filter section includes a second set of electrical filter components, with the connecting pin connecting the two filter sections. An electrical isolation shield disposed between the first and second filter sections includes a first plate and a second plate which are rotatable with respect to each other, wherein the first plate includes a first cutout portion and the second plate includes a second cutout portion. The first plate is locked to the first filter section while the second plate is locked to the second filter section. When the electrical filter is unscrewed from the port, the first filter section rotates with respect to the second filter section such that the connecting pin breaks electrical connection between the first filter section and the second filter section.

A polarity-inverting telecommunication tap includes a backplate having an input port, an output port, and terminal posts. The input and output ports communicate a signal having a signal polarity. The tap also includes a faceplate having a tap port and having sockets corresponding and complemental to the terminal posts. The tap port communicates a tap signal having a tap signal polarity. The tap further includes an adapter plate disposed between the backplate and faceplate. The adapter plate has an electrical circuit which inverts the tap signal polarity with respect to the signal polarity, so that downstream CATV devices may operate with an intended polarity.
