The car window glass comprises a first transparent plate, a first transparent binding layer, a flexible transparent substrate, a second transparent binding layer and a second transparent plate which are sequentially stacked from top to bottom. The car window glass is characterized in that the second transparent binding layer and the second transparent plate are the same in refractive index, the refractive index of the second transparent binding layer is larger than that of the flexible transparent substrate, and a linear light source is arranged on the lateral edge of the second transparent plate; incident light of the linear light source is made to come in from the lateral edge of the second transparent plate and/or the lateral edge of the second transparent binding layer and to be guided and transmitted between the second transparent plate and the second transparent binding layer; and a scattering layer for scattering the incident light of the linear light source is arranged on the lower surface of the flexible transparent substrate. The car window glass has the advantages that the production process is simple, repeating precision is high, and product stability is good.

The light source contained within the housing may either be an LED or a traditional light bulb. The light source may optionally be colored, or textured, to provide unique ambient mood light options. The assembly further provides a light pipe having at least one light pipe aperture. The lighting element positioned adjacent, or connected to, the light pipe aperture. The light source in the lighting element directs light down the light pipe thereby creating a uniform output of light along the light pipe. Light from the light pipe is directed into the vehicle interior, mainly onto the vehicle headliner, thereby creating ambient mood lighting within the automotive interior.
