The automobile includes an engine, a transmission, a battery, an inverter, a driving control system, a transverse structural beam and two motors; the engine, the transmission, the battery, the inverter and the driving control system are installed in a cabin, the transverse structural beam is connected to a rear suspension, and the two motors are fixed to the two ends of the transverse structural beam respectively and connected with two rear wheels through two-section type driving shafts respectively; when the automobile stays in a starting state at a low speed, driving is completed by the two motors, and at that time, the two motors drive the two rear wheels through the two-section driving shafts respectively; when the speed reaches a set value, the driving control system emits a control instruction, driving is completed by the engine, and at that time, the engine directly drives two front wheels throughthe transmission. The automobile can fully utilize the advantages that the engine is high in rotation speed and capable of saving oil and the motor is low in rotation speed and capable of saving electric power, and therefore oil consumption can be substantially saved, and emission of the engine can be reduced; meanwhile, the automobile breaks the foreign technical barrier of driving systems, andreduces costs.
