Abstract

The invention provides a cleaning device for a ink-jet printer. The device comprises a cleaner rod of a flexible scraper for wiping a nozzle surface of an ink-jet head, a locking rod for locking the ink-jet head 2 and a clutch lever. While converting the rotary motion of the clutch lever into the reciprocating motion of the cleaner rod and the locking rod through a cam mechanism, the rotary force is transmitted to the clutch lever through a friction transmission route and a gear meshing transmission route. The gear meshing transmission route is formed under the condition of wiping the flexible scraper arranged on the front end of the cleaner scraper by an auxiliary flexible scraper and moving at the same time. Because under the condition of wiping the flexible scraper by the auxiliary flexible scraper, through the meshing type transmission route, the driving force can be transmitted to the cleaner scraper, the flexible scraper can be moved smoothly.
