Abstract

The purpose of this invention is to obtain a disk drive for narrowing the retraction region of a disk conveyance roller by retracting a disk conveying means to a disk insertion opening side while moving the disk conveying means in a direction crossing a disk conveyance region for example in the lower direction. The disk drive comprises a guiding means for guiding the conveyance of the disk so that it can advance and retreat along the conveyance direction of the disk; a rotating member rotatably provided at both the end sections of the guiding means; a disk conveying means arranged facing the guiding means between both the rotating members; and a rotating means for moving the disk conveying means in a direction crossing the disk conveyance direction by rotating the rotating member.
