A message erasing method for a wireless communications device having a paging function, the method including a step of indicating received messages according to chronological order (on an LCD display); a step in which the user views the display and specifies the position of a message to be erased (by means of a jog dial); and a step of erasing all the messages received before the specified message (by means of a jog dial).
