Background technique [0002] Conventional shredder blades have a cutting mechanism along the periphery, such as a sharp peripheral edge, a serrated edge, or two or more cutting teeth with a serrated edge therebetween. All of these shredder blades operate by shredding material into strips. While this method of shredding is considered satisfactory, it is sometimes preferred to shred the material further than merely reducing it to strips.
