Problems solved by technology

Therefore, since the height of the cabinet 102 is limited, the lengths (distances) of the respective wall portions 111a, 111b, 112a, 112b are also limited.
As a result, there is a problem that a sufficient amount of blown air cannot be obtained, especially when it is desired to send air only from the upper air outlet 104 into the room during cooling operation with high frequency of use (upward blowing).

Embodiment Construction

[0034] Next, a floor-standing air conditioner according to an embodiment of the present invention will be described. As shown in FIGS. 1 and 2 , first, an air inlet 3 for taking room air into the cabinet 2 is provided on the back of the cabinet 2 of the air conditioner 1 . On the upper part of the front surface of the cabinet 2, there is provided an upper outlet 4 for blowing upward the air taken in from the inlet 3 and subjected to heat exchange through a heat exchanger (not shown). On the other hand, at the lower part of the front surface of the cabinet 2, a downward blowing port 6 for blowing out the heat-exchanged air downward is provided. In addition, side air outlets 5a, 5b for blowing out heat-exchanged air to the left and right are also provided on one side and the other side of the cabinet 2 .

[0035]Next, the inside of the casing 2 will be described. As shown in FIG. 3 , the casing 2 is provided with a centrifugal fan 9 for taking indoor air into the casing 2 from...

Abstract

The invention provides an air-conditioner which can guarantee the upwardly-blown wind while operation of cooling and guarantee the downwardly-blown wind while operation of heating. A fan cover (10), which covers a centrifugal fan (9) in a casing (2) of the air-conditioner (1), is provided with a circumferential wall part (11) which surrounds the centrifugal fan circumferentially and includes an inner circumferential face (11a) on which the air flows in positive order. A part in the circumferential wall part, which is provided with an down blowing-out hole (6) in front of a tangent direction of the air current, forms a cutting hole (12) communicated with an down blowing-out pipe (15) connected with the down blowing-out hole. Upper part of the fan cover forms a connection part (14) connected with an up blowing-out pipe (16), the up blowing-out pipe is connected with an up blowing-out hole (4); a tongue part (13) is formed at one side (14a) of the connection part. The inner circumferential face is formed from the part formed with the cutting hole (12) to another side (14b) of the connection part.

Description

technical field [0001] The invention relates to an air conditioner, in particular to a floor-standing air conditioner with cooling and heating functions. Background technique [0002] Air conditioners that send conditioned air into a room to make the indoor environment comfortable have long been used. As an example of such an air conditioner, a floor-standing air conditioner disclosed in Patent Document 1 that is installed on the ground and used will be described. As shown in FIG. 15 , this air conditioner 101 is first provided with a suction port 103 for taking indoor air into the cabinet 102 near the center of the front surface of the cabinet 102 . [0003] In addition, an upper air outlet 104 is provided on the upper surface of the cabinet 102 for blowing air taken in from the air inlet 103 and heat-exchanged by a heat exchanger (not shown) upward. On the other hand, below the suction port 103 on the front surface of the cabinet 102, a downward air outlet 105 for blowin...
