Embodiment Construction

[0013] figure 1 An obstetric delivery device according to the invention is shown. It is a suction cup for vacuum suction. The vacuum aspirator is the same device used for the suction cup used for vaginal vacuum delivery and as it is well known in the art it will not be described in detail here.

[0014] The suction cup of the present invention comprises a cup part 1 , a neck 2 connected to the cup part 1 and a handle 3 in the shape of a circumferential flange arranged on the neck 2 and surrounding the neck. The handle 3 is preferably arranged at the end of the neck 2 remote from the cup part 1 .

[0015] The suction cup or at least the cup part 1 is preferably made of a soft deformable material such as silicone rubber. The suction cup is deformable and can be compressed when inserted. Preferably, the cup part 1 , the neck 2 and the handle 3 are formed as a one-piece part, wherein the neck 2 and the handle 3 may be stiffer than the cup part 1 .

Abstract

An obstetric delivery device for caesarean section is a suction cup for vacuum suction and includes a cup part (1) and a neck (2), wherein the suction part has a The suction port (10) and the exhaust port (11) connected with the exhaust channel (20) extending through the neck (2), wherein the neck (2) includes a circumferential convex edge handle (3). The device does not affect the size or location of the skin or uterine incisions. It allows gentle delivery of the fetal head and does not require forceps. It is deformable and non-traumatic, and will not cause harm to mom and baby. In addition, it is small and lightweight, and is easier to maneuver and position than forceps during a C-section. The technique is easy to learn and intuitive. Last but not least, it allows delivery of the fetal head without delay.

Description

technical field [0001] The invention relates to an obstetric delivery device for caesarean section. Background technique [0002] WO 89 / 06112 discloses an obstetric suction device for a vaginal vacuum aspirator, which can be used to assist a woman during childbirth. The device includes a cup member and neck that is applied to the baby's head prior to delivery. The cup member has an opening in communication with a suction channel extending through the neck. The communication channel is connected to the suction pump of the vacuum suction device. [0003] The neck has a circumferential flange for attaching a string. The string is located around the neck behind the flange and held in a groove within it. The other end of the string is attached to the handle. The handle is used as a traction device to assist the mother during vaginal birth. [0004] Another method of delivering a baby is known as a caesarean section. In a C-section, the baby is usually moved by hand and no ...
