A sunless skin tanning emulsion is disclosed. The emulsion can be a water-in-silicon emulsion and can include a skin tanning agent and a silicon containing compound comprising the formula wherein, R1, R2, R3, are independently CH3, [CH2J3-[OCH2CH2]W-OH, or [CH2]m-A.
